New EU Online Course on the Emerald Network

We are pleased to inform you the EU4Environemnt Program has launched a new online course, "Mastering the Emerald Network: From Legal Frameworks to Community Engagement."

This course will help you strengthen your understanding of the Emerald Network and its role in protecting biodiversity.

In just 3.5 hours, you will complete 12 interactive modules covering:

  • the legal and institutional foundations of the Emerald Network
  • its links with EU environmental legislation, including Natura 2000
  • site management, monitoring, and adaptive management
  • stakeholder and community engagement
  • practical examples and case studies.

Throughout the course, you will benefit from narrated presentations, animated videos, expert interviews, maps, practical case studies, self-assessment quizzes, and additional reading materials. After completing the final assessment, you will receive a digital certificate of completion if you achieve a score of 80% or higher.
